I spaced out last night in front of the TV and watched "Mr and Mrs Smith", which I have to admit captivated me. Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie have massive charisma but I chalk most of it up to Doug Liman. Anyway, I totally bought into it and loved it.

For some reason, I love the first Fast and the Furious movie. I have no idea why. I know it's garbage, but it's so much fun, I don't seem to care. (I haven't seen either of the sequels.) Vin Diesel has a great presence up on the big screen, even though he doesn't make very good films (I love Pitch Black, too, but I consider that to actually be a pretty good movie).

CROSSROADS. 1986. Ralph Macchio. Walter Hill. Ry Cooder. Steve Vai. "Where you been old man? He done changed his name to SCRATCH." The final fifteen minutes fill me with great joy.

I still have to meet somebody who at least enjoyed Lawrence Kasdan's Dreamcatcher. I love this movie and every single moment of it!

Also, it's scary that I always get a crack when watching Zoolander, no matter how often I've already watched it. It's my favorite Ben Stiller work to date (although he's definitely done better movies).

Can't argue with that.

Zoolander was the first film I saw after 9/11. I think it opened that weekend and a buddy and I went to see it, thinking it might take our minds off things. I vaguely remember laughing from time to time, but my mind was obviously elsewhere. To this day I haven't watched that movie a second time.

The first Darkman. Cheesy as hell, but Sam Raimi at his best.

Does Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle count?

And yeah Zoolander was great. Even if it was stupid.
