I went back to the homestead for a wedding and free tune up for my car.
My buckeyes pissed me off yesterday, even though I graduated from Ohio U. |

Haven't the last few years but when the Cardinals were in the NFC East, we used to drive out to see them play the Redskins at Sun Devil Stadium. _________________ "The conventional is experimental, the conventional is now experimental, And is no way noble, and I'm no chock stock thing. On Friday, I met with my brother and a bunch of other people putting together a comic anthology. I'm not sure I have high hopes for this, but grassroots arts community stuff is fun and I'm been telling myself since I was seven that one day I'd try to write one, so there you go.
Saturday, I did a variety of stuff that was neither exciting nor particulaly cool, but needed to get done. For dinner, there was a big family thing and we did what all Canadians do... discuss American politics. (Although they've just announced our elections for October, so we can go back to focusing on domestic campaigns and races and issues.)
Sunday, the beautiful wife and I painted the bedroom all day long. Which sounds like a euphemism, but sadly is not. I then went for a run, discovered Jon and Kate Plus Eight and continued to re-read Jason Lutes' awesome Berlin: City of Stones in preparation for diving into the sequel this week. I also saw my first episode of It's Always Sunny...
It explains so much about this here blog. |

always sunny DOES kinda explain all of us...weird. well this weekend was a success in every way possible, although its kinda funny that after the matinee show, my body feels like it should be normal (1130-ish) after-show time. its kinda strange. kisses, all!

I know what I'd like to be doing this weekend but sadly I won't be.
I should be down in London where Alan Moore is doing a Lost Girls signing.
But...
Well you know... there'll be a long queue, probably people camping out the night before...
Besides what can I say to someone whose work I've followed for nearly 28 (?!) years? To someone who is the closest I have to a hero? It'll be embarrassing.
I know, the words 'feeble', 'pathetic', 'coward', 'loser' etc spring to my mind too. |
