So yeah, I forgot about that one-day-until-your-book-drops feeling.
It’s slightly mitigated by the fact that I got a very complimentary note from Neil Gaiman several weeks ago. (I say that like I get emails from my literary idols every day, but it’s all a pose. After I read it I had to lie down.) But even encouragement from Mr. Sandman himself can’t totally squelch that sensation of animal terror that sets in right before publication day. Maybe when I have a few more of these under my belt I’ll get over it. But for now, bring me your finest alka seltzers and sedatives.
T-Minus 24 hours until AIR #1, comrades.

Quick… decide to move again to distract you.
Looking forward to wednesday… this book has been on my pull since NYCC. Can’t wait to read it.
Bwaa I’m going to Timbuktu! Gbye!
I hear a couple bottles of vodka with Jim Bean will knock you right out (for a couple of days, anyway).
I dunno, I don’t drink, so I wouldn’t know.
Cheers, mate!
I don’t drink either. Timbuktu it is.
Lover the preview. Looking forward to the release as I’m sure many are. Congrats!
Years from now, we’ll look skyward from your 45,000 sq.ft. penthouse – bought from Tall Comics Dollars – and scoff that it’s taken so long for Vertigo to re-release the full AIR catalogue (including the AIR/SKY APE and AIR/THE ROCKETEER crossovers) in over-sized hardcovers.
“Brian, be a dear and toss another couple of hundreds on the fire? There’s a dreadful draft drifting in from the helipad…”
AWESOME.
