I did a really quick read-through of the story yesterday to find any stray typos before DC starts putting the collection together, and it occurred to me that I hadn't ever read the story before. I mean, I read the script just before I hand it in, and I read it again when I proof the lettering... but the actual printed comics? I don't think I really EVER read those.

So anyway, The Cross + The Hammer ain't half bad! Smile

This trade is out in July... I hope to god before SDCC. DMZ Vol. 7 is a month after that.

The Secret New Project might not be announced until Baltimore Con in October... still thinking on that. Both myself and my artist are guests at that show, so maybe its a good time to do the announce. The other option is to announce at SDCC, risk getting lost in the insanely rapid news cycle of that show, but then in theory people would have the news already before Baltimore. Not sure.

I was literally just now outside having a smoke trying to decide whether to buy all the issues of Northlanders from 9 on or trade wait, and thought about looking up when the next trade would come out... Now I dont have to, and I can actually work, at work. Bummer.

I'm not waiting till July.

P.S. I always think about Brian Wood on my smoke breaks.

The Cross + The Hammer was fucking awesome.

Though it wasn't until I read a spoiler-laden review that I understood it.

#9-10 aren't included in the next collection, even.

I just can't find 9, 10 or 11.

Even the online store I use doesn't have 'em.

Anybody else got a place online that has these issues?

A friend of mine. All issues plus discount bundles of the Cross arc. The site looks outdated, but I can vouch for him.

Random semi off topic question, how does the format work for the script to comic transition? is there a set standard of script style (like film?)

back on topic.

im ashamed to admit that i've forced myself to trade wait this series. but that might change soon.

When I first decided to try to write some comics, I stumbled on this here website....

http://www.comicbookscriptarchive.com

Script samples from a TON of comic writers.

Couple Brian Wood ones on there.

Everyone has their own style, but a scripts a script, ya know?

Yeah, there's no standard script format in comics. I've seen them in all shapes and styles.
