Three songs that best sum up what you are like, what you like, or how you see yourself. Go.
1) Iggy Pop: The Passenger
2) Orbital: Halcyon+On+On
3) Portishead: It's A Fire |

Music inspires every bit of my heart, so it's hard to choose. In no particular order, I'll settle for these songs:
Some day - Viktoria Tolstoy (Sweedish jazz singer)
Outsiders - Franz Ferdinand (you probably know the group)
Gekommen um zu bleiben - Wir Sind Helden (German group, the title means 'We're here to stay', the name of the group translates 'We Are Heroes') |

As long as they don't sound anything like Wolfmother....
Ummm, 3 songs, OK, how about
1. I Am A Tree, Guided by Voices
2. Parabol/Parabola, Tool
3. Dinosaur, King Crimson
And it'll be 3 utterly different ones tomorrow, no doubt. _________________ "Just leave one hand against the wall and you can lead yourself out of the labyrinth"

... as usual, when people talk about music anywhere in this forum I don´t recognize 70% of the bands/singers/songs you mention...
Anyway, as soon as I read what this thread was about, I couldn´t help thinking about:
1.- Believe - K´s Choice
2.- Me - Paula Cole
3.- A Murder Of One - Counting Crows |

American's Nightmare's The Sun isn't Getting Any Brighter EP... the whole thing...
The song Farwell is a pretty fair summation of my life for about a year dealing with the accidental death of my friend in a car wreck.
The link below has the lyrics, but also to the left if you scroll down a little bit is a youtube video of it's performance...
Yeah, it was an angry/sad year... fuck, I still deal with it and it's been 5 years now. Anyways welcome to "the prime years of my life."

The top two songs dropped when I was in high school, which probably says quite a bit about my state of mind in and around that period, and the last one is the very first song I can remember.
1. "Talk Show Host," by Radiohead.
2. "1979," by the Smashing Pumpkins
3. "Pressure," by Billy Joel. |

I'm Straight - The Modern Lovers (no, it's not an orientation thing)
Feeling Gravity's Pull - R.E.M.
Christchurch via Tucson, Az - The Roswell Incident (mildly cheating, as I doubt anyone here's heard them. Maybe I'll post an mp3 somewhere useful.)
The above subject to change without too much notice. _________________
